Not sure what to order? Not sure what to do? Just exactly what are we looking for? Here are some guidelines to get you started.
Fleece 100% Polyester
Your blanket should measure…
If you are purchasing fleece to make your blanket to donate for an adult chemotherapy patient you should use the measure of 2 yards lengths. We do not recommend purchasing the teen sized no sew kits for adults, they are too small. We prefer the no sew kit to be 72″ size.
We are also collecting child sized blankets to donate to the children’s cancer charities The Isaiah Alonso Foundation and Chai Lifeline. If you would like to donate child-sized blankets, those should measure 48″ x 60″ and can be from kits that are also available in many craft stores.
Be sure to choose a pattern or color that you love! Nothing can be too traditional or too quirky! Remember, these blankets are going to Chemotherapy patients of all ages. By offering a wide array of styles we can ensure we have something that will appeal to everyone’s taste.
Most important, we ask that your blanket is brand new and clean (not gently used!), from a smoke-free, animal-free environment. There is no need to gift wrap it – we’ll take care of that as well as hand deliver it.
If you are purchasing a kit and don’t have time to put it together, you can have it shipped directly to us. We will happily assemble your donation for you.
